8.00            Doors

8.15 - 8.45  Talks from Jackie Walduck, Viyki Turnbull and the musicians introducing the creative process and sharing examples of the sketches and tactile scores produced throughout rehearsals

9.00            Performance

Programme to include:

Arthur's Call - Jackie Walduck.
Introducing Tactile, the ensemble, the piece works on aural cues, which trigger beginnings and endings of improvised sections of music.  "Arthur" refers to King Arthur, whose Englishness infuses the opening vibraphone material, giving way to a broader musical language, bestowed by the members of the band.

Shore Line - Jackie Walduck.
Tactile score of fishing line, feathers, beads and wire.  Shore line was inspired by Stockhausen's text piece Upwards Rain, and the shingle beaches at the Baie de Somme in France, which were also quite rainy this summer.  It is a backbone score, a musical thread through the piece, which is fleshed out by the ensemble through guided improvisation.

Plus new works from Adrian Lee and Viyki Turnbull.
